But there is an interesting associated factor, i.e. the build up of calcium in the arteries of the brain. Dosages to try: Healthy normal person: Vitamin D3 (10,000 IUs) + Vitamin K2 (MK-7) (100mcg) per day
Unhealthy person: Vitamin D3 (30,000 IUs) + Vitamin K2 (MK-7) (300mcg) per day

Vitamin D and K2 work together and help to mobilize calcium. You may want to consume both vitamins, in the morning with butter or coconut oil for better absorption (due to being fat soluble). Vitamin D3 is about absorption of calcium and vitamin K2 is about directing where calcium goes – both working together to keep your arteries and soft tissues clean and your bones strong.
Unless you have osteoporosis, I would not recommend taking extra calcium. Instead consume some cheese on a daily basis. Most of the calcium in the body is recycled so adding more, is not needed. Never consume calcium carbonate (limestone) as your calcium.

    one of http://www.mercola.com ‘s scholars 🙂 which proof-diet intake consist
    almost of 60% good fats (coconut, butter, tallow, fish, etc ) SO the
    hormones and the skin (vitamin D) can be benefited by it and work better.

  6. I agree, vitamin K2 takes the calcium out of the blood and puts it back in
    the bones where it should be. Vitiman A is the trash man. A takes the left
    over calcium and moves it to the exit doors if you want to say it like that
    lol. Also people get put on blood thinners because of blocked arteries but
    what is it doing beside buying you a little more time, maybe a lot more
    surgeries, loss of limbs from lack of blood flow which is from vitiman K
    deficiency, vitamin C dediciency vitamin A deficiency . Total vitamin and
    nutrient dediciency is the root cause if all disease and illness. MDs say
    NOT to take vitiman K when on blood thinners, so your locked in once you
    get to that point , if you listen to them anyway. I think people that are
    on blood thinners need vitiman K2 more than anyone. Yeah they may need
    blood thinners BUT they need the K2 at lower doses and slowly built up will
    checking the blood and loweri g the thinners as the vitamin L does its job.
    Also Vitamin K IS TRANSFERED On THE BACKS OF THE BAD terrible LDL!!! Yes ,
    vitiman K2s taxi cab is LDL!! With all the man made drugs, The doctors are
    more less disabling the body from doing the tasks it already knows how to
    do as long as you give it the vitimans and nutrients it needs to function
    properly and strong and that means more then the RDA says we need. It’s all
    a lie!! and the doctors are NOT taught how to treat root causes or about
    vitamins or nutrients that the body needs to cure illnesses . They are
    taught to treat symptoms with PHARMA drugs that cause more symptoms. Does
    this make any sense to anyone. Vitiman C is major because vitiman C
    prevents the inner walls of arteries from breaking, tearing which is also
    known as scurvy. The lack of vitiman C = fractures, creators and tears i
    which your firemen or cholesterol clogs so you don’t bleed to death. Then
    that tear eventually builds up with calcium and LDL small a (LDL-a). Which
    clog the artery but the MDs blame the fireman (cholesterol) when in fact it
    really saved your life. vitamin C defiviency starts the roller coaster ride
    to death and lack of vitamin k = calcium stays in blood stream instead of
    the calcium being TRANSPORTED to the bones by vitiman K which must have LDL
    to do so!!! YES… Must have LDLs!!! The LDLs takes the vitamin K thru the
    blood (LDL= taxi cab) and there are like 5 yes 5 different LDLs. Now,
    Vitamin A (the trash man) takes the excess of calcium which is left over
    after LDL takes the vitamin K and calcium the K pickes up to the bones
    instead of staying in the blood stream and the left over calcium gets
    picked up by the trash man (vitamin A) and taken to the DUMP or the exit
    doors!!! But if you take Statins your doomed do you hear me!!! I don’t care
    what all the dumb doctors want to say, statins lower LDLs which keeps the
    LDLs ( the Demond’s) from transporting Vitamin K so K cant do its job.
    Statins also push cholesterol Into the cells so the cells can’t uptake
    vitamin C (read the book : statins, how they kill you one cell at a time).
    As far as the people on blood thinners I feel they need to be taking ALL
    the vitimans and maybe low doses of vitiman K with the blood thinners and
    have blood check very often until you can come down on Blood thinners due
    to the effects the vitamin K does to the calcium over a period of time.
    Maybe one could totally get off of the synthetic thinners which cause
    symptoms or end up taking very small doses of the thinners because the
    addition of the vitamin K which was needed in the first place and IF ALL
    the vitamins and nutrients that are needs are needed for fueling the
    vehicle (human body) is being taken everyday, WOW…. people actually will
    get healthier!!! Not stay borderline but actually get better !!! Man made
    drugs treat symptoms, natural whole foods, vitamins and nutrients put
    inside the human body, usually way more then the RDAs , will cure illness
    and that’s a fact!!! Do your research and don’t look at a doctors website
    because you will never get the truth. That’s MY theory. I think the more
    every one together, learns and talks, we will find the answers the doctors
    dont know OR don’t want us to know. I think it’s alittle of both if I were
    to bet on it And I learn more every single day. I don’t think I am 100%
    correct on every word but I think I am way more close to the words HEALTHY
    living and a healthy body then a doctors prescriptions will ever do for the
    human body. Doctors treat symptoms , they DO NOT WANT NOR TRAIN TO FIND
    ROOT CAUSES!!! That is fact. Oh I forgot. Research IODINE people. Dr
    Brownstien and IODINE and learn as much as you can. Sorry for the long
    comment and I hope I didn’t affend anyone. I want to open people’s eyes too
    what’s really going on In The medical establishment!!!

  7. Is it possible that hypertension is caused by calcium deficiency?
    Arteries have muscles and they need calcium in order to contract and relax.
    Lack of calcium makes it difficult for the muscles to relax which will
    cause high blood pressure.

    1. +ali nadeem calcium makes muscles contract, magnesium makes muscles relax.
      which means mg is recommended for lowering bp

    every 1000iu of D3 we need 100mcg of K2 but your recommendations are

  11. Dr Berg,, I take liqued calcium magnesium mix every day. it is a well known
    brand developed from one of the top ND’s. are you suggesting that taking
    calcium like this can be harmful ?

  12. No way! I’m not going to talk to my doctor’s! They say vitamins are
    accumulative. They will want to push more medication on me. I’m listening
    to you! LOL. I’m not going to be their guinea pig anymore! I’m not stopping
    my medications because of heart disease, I’m just adding what you’re
    telling me to my body, and I’m feeling better
