  1. Soups are Loaded with Sodium. Ive tried Low Sodium Progresso Soups, and
    they are bland. (missing the salt). I have sky high blood pressure 179/100
    and I love soup. So I really have to watch my self. I also drink, so on the
    days I know Im going to drink, I avoid soup, and vice versa. I try not to
    put my body through both in the same day!

  2. make your own soups with lots of potatoes, sweet potatoes, squashes and
    carrots – these are soooooo sweet you won’t need to add sodium – enjoy my
    friend – (obviously don’t add any fat or meat products because they are the
    evil ingredients) 🙂

  6. It is not the salt (sodium) that is caused the HBP, usually there are more
    underlying issue that is driving the pressure up. If high salt in diet is
    the cause of HBP, then all of 1 billion people in northern China should all
    have HBP as they are known for their salty food,and same too goes for
    countries in Asia. Personally I add Himalayan salt into my drinking water
    deliberately each day just to increase salt intake apart from the minerals
    that comes with it. I am illness free last 35yrs.. ;o))

  7. Of course any form of bias will eventually cause imbalances in the body. I
    am advocating everyone goes out to start eating salt like the
    Chinese…..there are more to good health than just having salt or no salt
    or which kind of salt. One silly comments by a bias person in authority
    resulting in generations of health students and doctors regurgitating the
    same half truth that can result in tremendous demand to unsuspecting public
    and themselves. Again, it is not the salt, look at whole picture.

  8. Processed foods, the worst! ughh. I have a package of chicken sandwich meat
    (bought before my diet change) that has a sodium count of 420 mg for 2
    slices. And 2 slices is NOTHING when making a sandwich. All the food I use
    to enjoy is loaded with salt. I’m finding this change hard, but I gotta do
    it. I already have high blood pressure. I’m going to pick up the Dash Diet
    book that I saw at Barnes & Nobles for a guide.

  9. so basically Sodium is the culprit….. yea lowerin your blood pressure
    stop headaches, bad mood swings, anxiety just a few things, but best thing
    i notice is vinegar and get lot’s of sleep
