  1. Hey gorgeous just found your channel and subscribed
ur videos are really good!!,keep the good work, btw i also have
a beauty channel so go ahead and check it out and subscribe
for mutual support!! big hugs doll!!,xoxo!!

  2. +Courtney Val I’m sorry, but in the interest of science I must correct you.

You stated “Rest assured that it does not contain chemicals” This is
common among those who fall prey to the Appeal To Nature Fallacy i.e.:”If
it’s natural, it’s better” This thinking is false.

EVERYTHING is made of chemicals…. Water is a chemical… Hyaluronic acid
(the main ingredient in this product) is a chemical. Water and Hyaluronic
acid just happen to be chemicals that occur naturally.

The appeal to nature fallacy also is present, if someone is trying to sell
you something, to supposedly “Clear/rid” you of “Toxins” If you ask the
salesperson “What/which toxin(s)? and at what dose?” and the person or
company cannot supply a specific answer… then they are likely scam
artists with no medical or scientific training whatsoever.

Chemicals are not inherently bad or good… the term to remember is “The
dose makes the poison” drinking water every day is essential to good health
and life… too much water can kill you. An all natural apple seed,
contains a compound that breaks down into hydrogen cyanide in the body. But
eating a couple of seeds here and there won’t harm you… it’s only if you
are eating lots of apple seeds, does the dose reach a high enough level to
make you sick, or kill you.

So you see…fear of chemicals is irrational. Educate yourself about
chemicals and their safe doses before condemning them.

    1. +Stephanie Hughes So you would have preferred that I say “it does not
contain a toxic dose of chemicals?” Are you a scientist? If so I would love
to talk to you more about how the beauty community can better express our
thoughts about chemicals and ingredients in a more accurate way.

    2. +Courtney Val During my veterinary medical training were have to intensely
study sciences, and biology, and the interactions of chemicals on living
things. A better way to have said that would have been. ” All the active
ingredients used in this product are derived from natural chemicals that
have been tested to be safe (and Oz naturals does no animal testing so rest
assured this is a cruelty free product)”

I would be pleased to help you. A lot of the time these big chemical names
scare people, and they think it’s automatically dangerous, lol. Several
groups, to test the public scientific literacy, created “Ban Dihydrogen
Monoxide ” campaigns, and people really got behind it…. what those people
didn’t realize, was that Dihydrogen Monoxide is the chemical name…. for
plain old water. So people run to “All natural” things, without making
sure that natural thing is safe. I use Oz Naturals products myself, they
currently have a 50% glycolic acid peel that works great… and it’s all
natural (it’s derived from sugar cane) but… it has a PH of 1.5-2 which is
close to battery acid…. so this all natural product can be very dangerous
if left on too long causing a chemical burn to the skin. Beauty vloggers I
think, need to sit down and really look and do some background study of
each ingredient in the products they use. (many ingredients are repeated
over certain products, like Dimethicone is used in diaper rash ointment all
the way up to face primers, so you learn about about that ingredient a few
times, you know about it for life)

I would be pleased to help you create a better dialog for consumers..
because scientific literacy starts with the chemicals and science we
      encounter every day.

    1. +Geraldine McArdle That is an absolute unsubstantiated claim that began by
internet marketers of the so called “all natural products”. Doctors are not
making the claim that hyaluronic acid is linked with cancer. This myth was
created by the “all natural” products to unfairly compete with synthetic
products. It’s a sad and disgusting way to market any product by making
false claims of cancer. It’s really pathetic on those companies engaging in
      this sort of marketing.

    2. +Mike Soos I would never do business with any company who makes false
claims unless they are willing to provide the research that they refer to.
Liars disgust me and they should disgust any consumer. If a company can’t
back it’s claim it should be boycotted.

  3. I decided to make my own HA + Rose Witch Hazel + Green Tea Extracts serum.
Thank you for your helpful review!
