  1. And what’s frustrating is how many people will glaum onto that study and
say, “Aha!”, to continue with their high protein diets.

  2. Brilliant response! – well said and very well explained ? People
absolutely love to hear justifications for their bad habits lol

  3. If it was true your blood pressure would be through the roof by now and you
    would’ve had a stroke! :P

    1. +Alys James The truth is, Andrew is losing weight and looking trim because
periodically blood shoots out of his ears and his eyeballs pop out of his
      head.

  4. Great response to that study Andrew! I don’t know how they can make that
extreme statement without more controls, like you said i.e. how are they
cooked (oils) and what do you put on them (salt, butter, sour cream, bacon
bits etc etc)….. I’ve been eating potatoes since April 6th and my Bp is
    down from an average of 130/90 – 117/70….weight from 211(lbs) to 195…..
    Spud on! #PotatoStrong

  5. I don’t believe this bull s***, I’ve been eating about 60 pounds of
potatoes a month, it’s about what you put on your potatoes, dr. John
wouldn’t lie to us that’s for sure.

  6. You are right. It’s not the potatoes but all the oil and animal products
eaten with the potatoes that cause health problems.

    1. +Jennifer Arsenault apparently you didnt eat those “specific kinds of
      potatoes” RFLMAO whatever that means

  7. +Spud Fit Great explanation of how studies that tell the “truth” can easily
be warped by finding out who funded the studies plus, like you said, the
twisting of the truth by just picking on the potato, itself, as opposed to
picking on the bad extra ingredients that people put on them.

For my part, I’m perfectly happy baking mine and then just seasoning them
with garlic and onion powder with a bit of salt – delicious!! I find that
the Yukon gold variety tastes best from my microwave, though I absolutely
love when I get the motivation to bake them on parchment paper (no oil) in
    my toaster oven:-)

  8. I can only say that too much salt on your potatoes surely makes your blood
pressure spike. You don’t need a medical “study” to know that!

  9. Hi, One question- what Do you drink? Do you Drink coffee? Thanks in Advance
for your answer! Kind rgds! Chris

  10. In the U.S. Potato chips are crunchy and bought in a package whereas fries
are long and skinny and served hot. Walt Willett is the Dept head of
Nutrition at Harvard and is vegan and pro-vegan foods which is why this
    study surprises me.
