    1. +Loading… Amazon has suppliers that sell pills, but I prefer the bulk
      powder options. You can get 50g of pure L-Theanine for pretty cheap.

    2. +Loading… I bought mine at Natural Grocers but many health food stores
      carry it. One must be careful on Amazon because counterfeiting name brand
      supplements has been an issue. If you’re lucky you might be buying corn
      starch and sugar. If you’re not lucky you might get sick. I don’t buy much
      on Amazon anymore. I don’t have confidence the company will protect buyers
      against sellers who are using Amazon as a platform to scam consumers.

  1. Just discovered the effect L-Theanine has on blood pressure this morning. I
    take Linisiopril for BP in the evenings and this morning I took 200mg of
    L-Theanine before jumping in the shower. I nearly passed out in the shower
    and could barely take 3 steps without falling over for the next 3 hours. Go
    figure.

    1. +SubFlow22 Oh no. I think self medicating is dangerous if you’re taking
      meds. Some drugs cannot be taken with certain supplements. I wasn’t taking
      any BP meds when I tried L-Theanine.

    2. Hey SubFlow. Could you talk a little bit more about your experience? I’m
      interested in L-Theanine for improved concentration, but am taking Vasocor
      and don’t want to have your experience. Do you have more info? Have you
      brought this up to your doctor?

  2. Subflow…How low did your bp go? How long did it take to come back up? Do
    you still take l theanine.

    1. +kalena Glory Thanks for the question. I don’t take it anymore and can’t
      remember how much blood pressure dropped. It seemed to be helpful. Also I
      was taking other supplements. My BP is normal now without meds and has been
      normal for many months. I think it’s because I work out several times a
      week. Some supplements I take now might be helping like magnesium for
      example. I think patience is a key factor. Drugs work right away. Changes
      in diet, supplements, and consistent exercise is a much slower process
